About NanomediGene
Metabolic oncology.
Therapeutic development.
We develop therapies around metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer.
A focused company with a translational mission.
NanomediGene is a preclinical metabolic oncology company developing therapies that target vulnerabilities in cancer metabolism.
Our lead program is an ACC-inhibitor formulation for breast cancer. We are developing it with the goal of improving the balance between antitumor activity and tolerability.
Our laboratory is at BioLabs New Haven, where we conduct formulation development. Our initial formulation uses biodegradable polymer nanoparticles as a way to deliver the drug.

Leadership
Yasin Oduk, Ph.D.
Founder & CEO
Dr. Oduk earned his doctorate in physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research experience spans nanoparticle delivery, cardiovascular disease, and biomedical engineering, including work at UAB and Columbia University.
He founded NanomediGene to translate drug-delivery research into therapeutic products and leads the company’s research program.

Tumor targeting
Xianyong (Max) Ma, Ph.D.
Scientific Lead, Tumor Targeting
Dr. Ma is a cancer biologist and founder of EpigenoMax Therapeutics. His background includes research at Yale School of Medicine investigating molecular mechanisms of cancer, gene regulation, and tumor development.
At NanomediGene, he focuses on peptide-based targeting strategies for the company’s breast cancer program. Working with the formulation team, he helps prioritize targeting candidates and guide their preclinical evaluation, with the goal of improving delivery to cancer cells.

Our team

Scientific foundation
Connecting formulation development with published cancer research.
Published work from Lajos Pusztai and colleagues informs the ACC program’s biological rationale. Our development effort builds on that foundation through formulation research and preclinical evaluation.
